Hojjat  Al-Islam Navvab: Virtue of Knowledge and Status of Scholars Is Extension of Prophetic Mission

The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab while referring to the fact that a scholar should be a man of action said, "The virtue of knowledge and the status of scholars and servants of religion is a special position that can be considered along the prophetic mission."

In this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and head of Iranian pilgrims, pointed out the characteristics of the scholar, and said, "People who respect the scholar actually respect the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), but a scholar does not mean that he is only a bearer of certain sciences, but a real scholar is someone who is practical so that he can be a role model.


Referring to a narration of Imam Ali (AS) who said, "Whenever you see a scholar, be his servant", Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said, "The responsibility of the scholar is very heavy and one of the great duties of the scholar is to guide the people of the society and defend the right."


Pointing out that the history of Islam has witnessed the emergence of great Shia and Sunni scholars and thinkers who, in addition to being scholars, were also people of action, he said, "The Almighty God has given high ranks and dignity to the scholars."


In another part of his speech, head of the Iranian pilgrims praised the action of the Iranian Sunnis in setting up a special program on the day of Arafat and reading the message of the Supreme Leader in this ceremony.


"The participation of committed, religious and concerned Sunni scholars in this program made the people happy. Gaza and eventually the Messenger of God (pbuh) will be pleased," he added.


The Supreme Leader's representative Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs went on to point out that the Sunnis are our brothers and respect us, and said, "I ask the management of the Sunni department of the Supreme Leader's office to have the necessary forecast for the implementation of the program for the upcoming Arafa Hajj day.


In the end, he emphasized that the existential philosophy of all of us is to serve the pilgrims, and pointed to the Shia and Sunni brotherhood in Iran and said: Caravans from some provinces of Iran are present in this year's Hajj, half of the pilgrims are Sunnis and the other half are from followers of Shia religion and they are performing their actions in peace and sincerity.


According to this report, at the beginning of this ceremony, a clip of the late Sunni servants of Zoufur Rahman, who were on the way to serve the Sunni pilgrims of our country in recent years, was broadcast, followed by Sheikh Khalil Afra, a member of the Council of Sunni Scholars pointing out that science; It brings man to the highest levels of this world and the hereafter, he said: God the Most High has set three virtues for man, the first of which is honoring the children of Adam and said, "Verily, we have honored the children of Adam" (Surah Isra' verse 70).
He added: Piety is the second virtue of man, and the third virtue that God has given to man is knowledge. The first verses that God Almighty revealed to the Prophet (PBUH) on the "Mountain of Light" were the verses of Surah Al-Alak.
In the end, Sheikh Khalil Afra pointed out that the angels seek forgiveness from God for the scholars and said: God Almighty gave Adam (PBUH) superiority over all the angels through his knowledge, as in verse 31 of Surah Al-Baqarah He gave the names to Adam.
Reciting tawasih in praise of the Messenger of God (pbuh) and the city of Madinah was the end of this ceremony.
